A ‘Bromsgrove plate’ set into the red brick boundary wall of Coughton Court.
The very good Parish Council website tells us that Coughton is pronounced “coat’n”. The Domesday Book had it as “Coctune”, meaning Cock Farm, maybe woodcock.
